LOVER OF MY SOUL

The air is crisp but gentle as my lady went from street to street on her bike searching for the only one who could love her soul. The breeze was welcoming and soothing to her face as she looked right and left for him with great expectations. My lady had encountered many who loved her attributes and accomplishments, and her generous, kind nature to love and give; in return, they loved her also. However, there was a void inside of her that was not filled.

My lady knew that the Almighty God in heaven, her Father, had indeed placed something inside of her intentionally, whereas no man (mankind) could ever damage or cause demise for their destruction. She knew that there was a spiritual implant inside of her that no one could ever touch, and this was her very soul.

She knew having a spouse with a family and friends and associates could grow weary of her attributes and perhaps leave her with a great disappointment at times, feeling as though she had not measured up to their standards. My lady had an epiphany as she was resting one fine day, as she dwelt on this matter. She often felt a sense of unpleasantness about her life due to the hurt, pain, and shame she had endured, leaving her feeling unloved and unappreciated.

God put in my lady’s spirit that man ( mankind) most definitely could wound your heart, mind, spirit, and body, even your confidence; however, no man could ever harm your soul that is protected from the beginning once you give your heart to God.

My lady anxiously searched for this remarkable man who would change her course of life, as she pedaled her bike from street to street. She looked high and low with lovely flowers in her attached basket to her bicycle, leaving a trail of beautiful, intoxicating fragrance lingering in the air for other women and men to inhale, because she believed that this man, who is the lover of her soul, is altogether lovely, the rose of Sharon, and the bright and morning star. God told this woman of Zion in her spirit that this man, who is the lover of souls, will never condemn her, nor would he ridicule or hurt her.

As my lady searched and searched the streets, a gentleman came up to her and said he was looking for her also. Little did she know this was the man whom she had been searching for. This man watches the entire city and all cities and goes to all who call on His name. The lady was so elated that she had found the lover of her soul, for she knew she was safe indeed. She declared to all the women in Zion and men who are looking for the lover of their souls to be sure not to disturb him until you are absolutely certain that you are certain.

Beloved, we must also pursue the lover of our souls the way this precious lady did. This woman demonstrated her love for him also by her perseverance and diligence in seeking him. Her search, street by street, is to be a demonstration for the body of Christ, the lover of our souls. Jesus is the anchor of our souls, meaning that no one can ever take our souls. We, the church of Jesus Christ, are to also not give up as this woman.

We loved God because he first loved us, and at the beginning, he breathed into our nostrils and we became a living soul. My lady knew this all too well, and she believed that the lover of her soul belonged to her and she belonged to him. It is the same with Jesus' Church;  God in Jesus and Jesus in us, rest assured beloved, you are loved and a treasure to our heavenly Father through Jesus  Christ.

We are to, therefore, always have this hope and blessed assurance that Jesus Christ will never hurt us or leave us because he is the lover of our souls.  AMEN.

Glory be to God,

And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul” (GENESIS: 2:7).

“By night on my bed I sought him whom my soul loveth: I sought him, but I found him not. I will rise now, and go about the city in the streets, and in the broad ways I will seek him whom my soul loveth: I sought him, but I found him not The watchmen that go about the city found me: to whom I said, Saw ye him whom my soul loveth? It was but a little that I passed from them, but I found him whom my soul loveth: I held him, and would not let him go, until I had brought him into my mother's house, and into the chamber of her that conceived me. I charge you, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, by the roes, and by the hinds of the field, that ye stir not up, nor awake my love, till he please.” (SONG OF SOLOMON: 3:1-5).

At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.” (John 14: 20).
