To come to the acknowledgement or to recall an event, celebration, trauma or insult is often a reoccurring hazard to the mind. These recurrences can flutter your mind and your heart, leaving you feeling hopeless, despair and a sense of gloominess towards yourself and perhaps others. Many times we, as a people, do not entertain these thoughts that oftentimes monopolizes our thoughts consequently there are those who welcome them, especially if they are celebratory. This would be a delightful occurrence of a beautiful or spectacular event or occasion however it is those tormented and painful thoughts that are unwanted. Our heavenly Father wants his beloved people to have a mind of peace and tranquility in him that perpetuates a fruitful life, that displays his love towards all men.
It is indeed difficult to display God's love that abides in us towards all men when we have been persecuted ourselves, leaving us handicapped towards our families, friends and peers because of the painful memories of the trauma(s) that stare us in our faces daily. Our only hope is the word of God. Beloved, the recurrences are in the past. We are not to entertain these unwanted painful thoughts from our past or current lives. We are to cast these imaginations down in Jesus name. Yes, cast down, put them away because they happened so long ago even yesterday. We are only to think on things that are excellent and virtuous. It may be a challenge to renew your minds, however, we can do all things through Christ which strengthen us.
Entertaining painful events or matters will only leave you resentful and with an unrepentant heart, which is sin. Jesus has equipped his Church for victory by using our spiritual weapon, that will protect our hearts, minds and souls which is the word of God. We all must be mindful of our spiritual inheritance from our heavenly Father, that we are not only to be hearers of the word but doers. Simply apply the word of God in your life by reading his word daily and hiding his word in your heart that you will not sin against God. How do you hide the word of God in your hearts? You hide the word of God by reading his word everyday and believing it! When something is hidden one cannot see it. This is true with hiding God's word in our heart. Not even our adversary sees it. There is power in believing! This is how belief is birthed, once we believe the word of God in our hearts this is established, protected and hidden. Beloved, no man can see it but God. You can do it by opening up your bibles every morning and starting a beautiful journey with God. It will change your thinking and redirect your course of life.
What will happen to those terrible offenses that were once upon us? Will they vanish ? Will the percussionist be rewarded for their evil? Most certainly not. We have to forgive because, as Christians, we are not to repay or recompense any of our offenders but God! Our God in heaven will repay all of our offenders that was and is unjust towards his children. We, as believers, are to never render evil for evil, for God will repay our enemies and we do not have to recall terrible memories ever again because God said, " I remember. " Amen.
Glory Be To God,
